About Dr. Nam
Dr. Edward Nam is the founder and lead clinician at ID Dental Implant Center, bringing together world-class training and a deeply personal commitment to dental care. His journey into dentistry is rooted in family — his father and grandfather were both dentists, and that legacy shaped his own path.
After completing his Bachelor of Arts in Biology at Washington University in St. Louis, Dr. Nam earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) at the prestigious USC Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry — one of the nation's top dental programs.
He went on to earn certification through the Harvard Dental Implant Program, where he honed the surgical precision and implant expertise that defines his practice today. He is also certified through the Academy of Orthodontics, expanding his ability to offer Invisalign and traditional braces.
Beyond his clinical work, Dr. Nam served as faculty at the University of Maryland Dental School for over four years, teaching the next generation of dentists. He also served as Secretariat of WAUPS (Western Association of University Prosthodontic Students) for more than eight years.
Dr. Nam is fluent in English and Korean, making him uniquely positioned to serve the diverse Korean-American community in Koreatown and across Los Angeles.
